Word on the street
August 20, 2007 7:23 pm Previous Hurricanes ArchiveJust another quick post. They are not evacuating the hotel zone, everyone is bunkered down in the hotels if they are still here. At 10:00 tonight I will have an airport update, at the moment there is a rumour that it won’t close at all and they will try to get some flights out tomorrow. That is a rumour, I will confirm later if I can. Hubby tells me that the Royal Resorts are at 70% occupancy with all their guests staying in the resorts. I’m lucky enough to have a houseguest with inside info, will post if we hear anything. Take care all!

I’m a bit of a storm junkie. Is there any sites that provide streaming video of the beach and surrounding area. Also, other than youtube is anyone filming this event. Thanks
Be safe

Glad to hear that everyone in Cancun is safe. We have a trip planned for Oct for 16 of us, 14 will be their first trip to Cancun. My husband and I have been there several times and love it. Living in Southwest Florida on the water, we know the danger and fear everyone goes thru. Hoping that everyone is safe. See ya in a few weeks.
