I think the city was very organized in their hurricane preparations, and then they didn't get hit badly. I'm sure you won't even see any evidence of the drama that was Hurricane Dean. I checked on www.riu.com and I know the hotel itself is okay. I haven't heard any news about the beaches and I've been curious about that too. We are going regardless and we are really excited about our trip! I think there are 60% rain chances next week, but I saw another poster that said it doesn't rain all day when it does rain.
