Cancun Beach Video 21st August
August 21, 2007 3:11 pm Previous Hurricanes ArchiveThe first video was taken at Playa Marlin, Cancun approx 2pm on Aug 21st, around 12 hours after the worst of Hurricane Dean. The second video was taken at the same spot 24 hours previously. Playa Marlin is located near to the Tucancun resort and Villas Marlin, behind Kukulcan Plaza.
As you can see there is still some stiff wind and rough seas. For that reason, I think it unfair to draw a true comparison between the videos. Once the sea has calmed and sea levels receeded to normal then I suspect that more beach will be exposed. I dont think the difference before and after is going to be that great.

Great site we’ve been glued to it, due to the fact that we are meant to be flying out next week to tulum (zamas).
From what you’ve seen do you think things will be back to normal by then, power etc?
