August 21, 2007 4:57 pm Previous Hurricanes ArchiveHere’s the drive thru video taken approx 2pm on August 21st, around 12 hours after the worst of the storm. The first video is the one taken today, with the second video the same journey yesterday. As you can see there is very little difference and no sign of damage. Enjoy!

WOW! AMAZING! A freakin’ Cat 5 Hurricane passed by and it appears like it just sprinkled. GOD WAS DEFINATELY WATCHING OUT FOR BEAUTIFUL CANCUN AND ITS BEAUTIFUL HARD-WORKING PEOPLE! I’m blown-AWAY!!!!!!!!!!! I am looking forward to landing in Cancun on the 1st of Sept.
***TO ALL THE PEOPLE THAT HAVE PLANS TO VISIT CANCUN, DON’T BE DISCOURAGED AND KEEP YOUR PLANS!!!! People in Cancun are really hard-working and will not sit down and do nothing. I know that they are working around the clock to get Cancun running back to its beautiful way.****

LOL, nice Oasis tunes! Are you sure this video isn’t from 1997? Just kidding.
We were supposed to fly out tomorrow for a few nights at Maroma. We have been waiting to see the area damage to know if we should rebook. Your video has made us confident enough to proceed. Hopefully we’ll be there in a few days!
Thanks~

Thank you for the great info. Was wondering if you could briefly address areas and attractions surrounding Cancun such as Xel-Ha and Chichen Itza? Thank you.

Awe the video was lovely just shows what hard work can do. U would never have thought a hurricane had hit it. The people of Cancun are the best.
The video brought back memories and I’m looking forward to going next year! woo hoo
