CancunCanuck says “Gracias and Hasta Luego”
August 22, 2007 4:24 pm Previous Hurricanes ArchiveLike Rivergirl, I wanted to extend my thanks to Steve for giving us the opportunity to write, it was very therapeutic and I hope it was helpful. We’re back to normal here, I went to work this morning as per usual. We had such a good time with our houseguests on the night the hurricane was supposed to come that we will be having “hurricane drill” parties more often.
Thanks for all your kind comments and questions. For any questions about hotels and services in the area, check out Steve’s fabulous forum at www.cancuncare.com.
We’ll see you next hurricane, hopefully that will be a loooong time away though!

Kelly, thanks you SO MUCH for all the detail info re: Hurricane Dean. You have been a BIG HELP to people all over the world. I will be in Playa del Carmen starting on 9-1 (at the Royal) and it sure would be nice to run into you. You seem like an amazing and fun person. I’m the girl that asked about your window…if you were going to cover it up.
Oh, take care & God Bless!

Tuna fish sandwich anyone?
Hurricanes happen to remind us that we should value our beautiful daily lives that we all enjoy living in this lovely part of Mexico.
We are fortunate to live here and if, once in a while, we have to clean the closets, oh, well. no pasa nada
Happy in Playa del Carmen; sad for those south. We can help make a difference!
Thanks for keeping us informed up there in Cancun.
For tourists wanting information on Playa del Carmen. It’s the same as before the storm. Practically no damage. It’s a great time to visit…you’ll have the beach to yourselves!
