Cancun Videos
Here’s a selection of Videos of Cancun taken 24 hours apart and 12 hrs either side of Hurricane Dean’s landfall in the Yucatan.
This first set is taken on a drive along Ave Kukulcan, the main road through the Cancun Hotel Zone.

The beach condition videos were taken at Playa Marlin located near to the Tucancun resort and Villas Marlin, behind Kukulcan Plaza.
As you can see there is still some stiff wind and rough seas. For that reason, I think it unfair to draw a true comparison between the videos at this early stage. Once the sea has calmed and sea levels receeded to normal then I suspect that more beach will be exposed. I dont think the difference before and after is going to be that great.

Wow! Thank you so much for all your information! We were in Cancun (Royal Sands)til Saturday 8/18 when we had to catch a flight home. Your updates were great! Hated leaving as we were to go to the (Royal Haciendas) til 8/25. It kept us informed while there and once we arrived home worried about our “home away from home”. We are so thrilled that the town was spared! And look forward to coming back next year!

Thank you for the videos; they sure helped me get a better idea of what Cancun is like. I’ll be there Oct 4-14 at the RPLA. This site is awesome!
